Matt Hill grew up in Tameside, Greater Manchester, and now lives on the edge of the Peak District.
Matt's work blends elements of weird science fiction, horror, social realism and noir; his stories are often about ordinary people doing their best to navigate precarity and collapse in near-future northern England.
His novels include Philip K. Dick Award nominee Graft (Angry Robot, 2016), The Breach (Titan, 2020), and Lamb (Dead Ink) a Times best SF novel of 2023.
Wrecks, his sixth novel, will be published by Dead Ink in August 2026.
