I have been writing since childhood and have written more than fourteen books, published in eight countries and seven languages. I write contemporary and historical realistic novels with challenging subjects. My novel, HIDDEN, was longlisted for the Carnegie Medal, published in America and other countries and adapted for the stage. My Middle Grade book SAVING HANNO received the first Author Incentive Award from the PJ Library.
My YA novel BEHIND CLOSED DOORS was the Winner of the Manchester Metropolitan University 'great student giveaway.' "The clear and popular winner."
