Hi! My name is Kjersten Faseler, lover of people and believer in a world where everyone has equal access to quality education. I have been writing songs, poetry, and short stories since I was a young girl, but started writing children’s books after the birth of my first daughter, who inspired my book, E is for Elephant. After publishing my book, I founded PublishSmart Academy to help other aspiring children’s book authors through the self-publishing process, and it has been so rewarding to see others turn a dream that they have had for years into a reality!

I am Minnesota born and raised, but it turns out eight months of snow isn’t for me, so I now live in Texas with my husband, two daughters, and our high-maintenance cat that my husband refuses to claim. When I am not writing, I enjoy traveling the world, spending time with my family, painting, and obsessing over true-crime podcasts.
