I have a B.A. in Russian Studies from Trinity College (Connecticut) and an M.S. in Journalism from Columbia University, where I received the award in literary journalism for my master’s project about Junot Diaz. My work has been published in The Antioch Review, The Christian Science Monitor, The Trinity Reporter, and others. For several years, I worked as a newspaper reporter in the Seattle area, Guam, Oregon, and Los Angeles. For more than a decade, I worked solely as a novelist. I attended the Wesleyan Writers Conference and the Vermont College of Fine Arts Novel Retreat, where I received invaluable support and feedback. These days, I split my time between writing and working for a non-profit. I live in Vermont with my husband and our two daughters.
