Zamir Mohyedin is a physicist and author based in Malaysia. He holds B.Sc in physics, M.Sc in material physics and Ph.D in medical physics. His research involves computation and simulation of properties of material at atomic level using density functional theory (DFT). He also involves in radiation dosimetry research, formulating 3D dosimeter for application in radiotherapy verification. 

Zamir is the author of popular science books particularly in physics and related topics. He is also a regular contributor to his own blog and other media outlets such as Selangorkini, Dewan Kosmik and The Patriots. He was a speaker of Tedx.​
