Dotty Brown is a former reporter and editor at The Philadelphia Inquirer, where she edited numerous award-winning projects, including a Pulitzer Prize.

She is a graduate of Wellesley College and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. In 2020 she co-edited "Inside the Upheaval of Journalism: Reporters Look Back on 50 Years of Covering the News," written by members of her 1969 J-School class.

Dotty previously wrote the only history of Philadelphia's iconic Boathouse Row, with more than 160 photographs from numerous museums and historical archives. She came to rowing as part of the surging wave of masters rowers and is a member of the Vesper Boat Club.
