Fríða Ísberg is an Icelandic author and poet based in Reykjavík. Her short story collection ITCH was nominated for The Nordic Council Literature Prize in 2020. Her debut novel THE MARK won The P.O. Enquist Award, The Icelandic Women’s Literature Prize for Fiction and was longlisted for the Dublin Literary Award 2025. Fríða was the 2021 recipient for The Optimist Award, handed by the President of Iceland to one national artist and her second novel, THE HIDDEN WOMAN, won the Icelandic Booksellers Choice Award in 2025. Her work has been translated to twenty languages. Fríða lives in Reykjavík with her family.
