Astrid doesn’t argue when she’s exiled to the wilds of northern Canada to stay on her long-lost aunt’s ranch. It seems like as good a place as any for both her and Folly to heal after their horrific accident. Especially since Folly is angrier and more dangerous than ever.
But life in the country is full of surprises; real-life cowboys, a failing archery team that needs her help, and a funny horse named Red who would rather nap than work.
The path to fixing Folly isn’t easy and as Astrid grows increasingly terrified of her volatile horse she realizes she’ll need to reach out to the people who care about her if she wants to come out of this situation alive.
