A man who wanted to destroy the country was elected President, and from the moment he stepped into office, everything began to crumble. People took to the streets in opposition, protesting executive orders that threatened to propel the nation into a dark hole of fascism and hate.

With more than half the country making up the Resistance, the President had to do something drastic to command control: he arrested them, and then launched a choreographed push of reengineered opiates from coast to coast. Soon, all who opposed him were “put to sleep” and sent to work as an army of mindless zombies in an ever growing system of factories. The new leader had made good on his promises to bring back manufacturing jobs and unite the country in one unimaginable swoop.

But not everyone was affected by the drug. Twenty years later, some people were still awake. Hiding amongst the sleepers. Plotting. Planning. Waiting for a chance to rise up once again.
