A spicy Pride and Prejudice variation novella!

Elizabeth Bennet has always been intensely attracted to Mr. Darcy but his unpleasant behavior and caustic conversation convinced her that they are most unsuited. She hopes to never see him again after she rejects his proposal, but when Jane and Mr. Bingley are reconciled, Lizzie has no choice but to tolerate Mr. Darcy's company once again. "He is very pleasant to look at, I admit it," she tells Jane. "But whenever he speaks, I cannot control my tongue. We are worse than two wild cats."

To make matters worse, Jane asks her to stay at Netherfield while she plans her wedding. Lizzie cannot refuse, since Jane needs a chaperone and neither want to invite Mrs. Bennet. Lizzie resigns herself to spending several weeks cooped up at Christmas time with the very-much-in-love Jane and Mr. Bingley... and the man she has just rejected in such a thoroughly humiliating way. Her plan is to stay out of his way and return to Longbourn as quickly as possible.

But when Lizzie's character is compromised by the dastardly Mr. Wickham, her nemesis proposes again to save her reputation. Lizzie is forced to save Jane's wedding to Bingley by overcoming her hatred for Mr. Darcy. As the days of their engagement go by and their New Year's Day wedding looms ahead, Lizzie realizes there was more simmering under the surface than anger. The surging emotions she felt were not at all what she thought, and her journey toward becoming Mrs. Darcy begins.
