Colin Weir.
Colin was educated at Forest School and St.Edmund Hall. He captained O.U.A.F.C. and went on the play for Corinthian-Casuals, Pegasus, and Spurs XI´s. He taught at Lancing College and Sedburgh School, is now retired and he and his wife live in Cumbria. They have two daughters, one having rowed for the Oxford Osiris VIII and one now rowing for Scotland.
This hitherto unpublished story of the O.U.A.F.C. give a picture of all the events in the 126 years of the Club´s life – the early years when the University won the F.A. Cup, victories over the professionals, tour to Europe and the Far East, reports of every season and each Varsity march with the progress form Queen´s Club to Craven Cottage via The Oval, Stambord Bridge, Highbury, Dulwich, White Hart Lane and Wembley Stadium.
The are numerous photographs, records of the XI´s and al Oxford´s Full and amateurs Internationals. Lighter moments and personal reminiscences are here, with an Iris referee making Osford a $65 minute fog-bound second galf foal keepers veining provide whith dinner bells to held the opposition, and a forward heaving to be released from a greyhound trap before the game coud begin!
