From the moment I glimpse Angelica in the Pools of Fate, I know she is destined to be mine. When I finally meet her, I believe that the pain of waiting is finally over. Little do I know that the true torture has just begun.

After surviving an abusive husband, Angelica isn’t looking for love. The more I try to break down her walls, the more she pushes me away. Even though I tell myself that I can be patient, it’s getting harder and harder to hold myself back.

When an artifact of unspeakable power surfaces, Angelica and I take matters into our own hands and decide to find and destroy it. But while she believes I’m only here to help with the mission, the truth is that I can’t hold back my primal desires any longer.

Desperate to prove that we belong together, I decide to make her a deal: I will be her ‘fun buddy’ for the mission and if she doesn't’ feel anything for me at the end, I'll walk away.

I know that it will destroy me if she rejects our bond, but I would rather have a taste of her than nothing at all. I just hope that I can keep us both alive long enough to convince Angelica that we belong together.
