A party to die for . . .

Sunday morning, 2 a.m. David Chesterfield is lurking in the bushes looking at them. The party people of Le Huray Close. His blood boils as he watches them drink a never-ending stream of booze, their laughter and high jinks getting louder with each swig.

We’ll see who has the last laugh . . .

Later that morning, Detective Inspector Bethany Smith is called out to a grass verge near Le Huray Close where a woman lies motionless, her throat slit.

The victim was at the party last night. She went home to get more wine, but never came back . . .

The next day, Detective Bethany is on door duty when she hears a bloodcurdling scream coming from number one.

Another resident of Le Huray Close is dead. Their nostrils are plugged with cocktail sausages and their mouth stuffed with sandwiches and a scotch egg.

Two women murdered in two days. Both at the same party on Saturday night. Who will be next . . . ?
