Pillar of the local community Baron Gustave Cordes d’Auzon is holding a Napoleonic re-enactment at his chateau.
The event includes theatricals, war games, and costume balls.
That’s more than enough to entertain baker Julie Cavallo — and to distract her from pining for a tall, dark, and unsociable captain of the gendarmerie.
