It is May 2003. In Underhill Woods, near the remote Cumbrian village of Seldom Seen, two children find the body of a man. He is identified as Kyle Johnson, a local who was apparently well-liked. As Detective Inspector David McClennan and his team, first introduced to us in THE AYTON SWANS, set about investigating the strange circumstances surrounding his death, they very quickly make another gruesome discovery and begin to uncover a decade of secrets.
