I expected to feel some nerves while standing in my wedding dress, waiting to marry my fiancé.

What I didn’t expect though was for my high school sweetheart to enter the room and beg for me not to walk down the aisle.

Running into Forrest Gibson two weeks before my wedding surprised the hell out of me, but not as much as how quickly my feelings for the man came rushing back

Apparently he felt the same way though, but I didn’t get a chance to tell him the feeling was mutual before he left.

So I walked out of the church and followed my heart all the way back to Newberry Springs, Texas, and the Gibson Ranch to start a new job and fight for the love of my life back.

Turns out his mother never told him that I was coming though—or that there would be a ring missing from my left hand.

Now Forrest is grumpier than ever, accusing me of not knowing what I want. But I’m determined to show him that I’m back for good.

It’s just hard to face the past when the future is uncertain too. And when the truth about our past comes out, I’m not sure how we could make it through.
