Fiona Lloyd is a British-Australian author living on Darkinjung Country, Central Coast NSW.
Prior to writing, Fiona worked across many roles from tourism to television, including post-production on Home & Away.
Fiona is the Children and Young People’s Program Manager for the Words on the Waves Writers Festival. Her debut novel Being Jimmy Baxter was short-listed for both the CBCA and the South Australian Literary Awards 2024, and was the winner of the Speech Pathology Awards (8 – 10 years).
A play adaptation of the novel has since toured schools across five states. Fiona’s second middle grade novel is releasing in 2026.
