Being only 18 years old, he sold his first innovation to Wargön Alloys, and as a 20-year-old he became the youngest Innovation Consultant in the Swedish state-owned company ALMI Företagspartner. In 2006, he co-founded KYAB AB, which develops innovative solutions for measuring energy use in buildings. In 2008, Lech Kaniuk received his first patent for an innovative microwave cover.
Using the experience gained both in his own projects and in cooperation with ALMI in 2009, he published a book: “Innovationshandboken - 10 steg för att gå från uppfinnande till produkt på marknaden” (Innovationhandbook - 10 Steps from an idea to a commercial product). Shortly after, by engaging in the television program "72 Hour Race - how to commercialize your idea in 72h" he decided to create his own Radio program for Swedish Radio - SR P4.
From 2006, he helped create OnlinePizza Norden AB, and in 2009 he joined the full-time company to expand the business in Poland and Europe. In just 2 years, he managed to gain an advantage on the Polish market, mainly due to the acquisition of competing entities. This resulted in PizzaPortal dominating the Polish online food order market. In 2012, Delivery Hero acquired OnlinePizza Norden (including all subsidiaries) for 30 million euro (PLN 120 million)
The successes have made Lech Kaniuk one of the most recognizable and respected Polish start-ups. In 2013, he received the main prize in the Entreprenurial Role Model category from the Student Forum Business Center Club.
Kaniuk was also a member of the supervisory board of Listonic, the company that created one of the largest listing apps in the world. Since 2013 he has been investing in several businesses as a Business Angel like; iTaxi, the most popular taxi ordering application in Poland in which he joined 2016 to become the CEO (currently a Supervisory Board Member). He has also started several profitable businesses, from Coffee Companies like Bean & Buddies to Real Estate companies like JLS Property.
Today, Lech Kaniuk is a active Angel Investor and entrepreneur, valued speaker and author of two books.
